Field Honest is an independent English-language publication about hunting, fishing, gear, field skills, wild food, conservation, and reported stories from wild places.
Our stories come from time we have spent outdoors, experiences shared by friends and contributors, and accounts submitted by readers. We may edit, condense, reorganize, or rewrite a story in the Field Honest style, but we do not invent the underlying event, outcome, person, place, or lesson.
Field Hunter is our house byline for desk-edited narratives. It does not mean that one person personally lived every story. First-person pieces preserve the perspective of the person whose real account the story is based on; names, locations, or identifying details may be changed when privacy requires it.
We are operated by Nomenas Digital LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Time-sensitive claims involving law, seasons, access, food safety, or similar matters are checked against current primary sources.
